Tonje Kearney

  • Tonje Kearney was born and raised in Norway. She was an avid 3 day event rider and also dabbled in the showjumpers in the winters.
  • In 2000 she moved to the US where she is a Realtor. Since moving to the US she has been competing as an amateur in Dressage and 3 day eventing. She has multiple wins under her belt over the years. Some of her most notable accomplishments are:
  • 2002 Arizona Dressage Association Reserve Rider of the Year. 
  • 2005 Area X Eventing Year End Champion High Point Novice.
  • 2010 Area X Eventing Year End Champion Horse of the Year.
  • 2010 Area X Eventing Champion Novice.
  • 2010 Coconino High Point Challenge Champion.
  • 2012 Area X Eventing Year End Champion High Point Training.
  • Tonje travels to Holland several times per year to scout for top quality horses to bring to the US. 
  • Tonje has direct connections with several top farms and breeders in Holland.
  • Tonje only works with highly regarded farms and breeders that have a long standing reputation in the Dutch horse industry to be honest and fair in their dealings.
  • Tonje places her sales horses with top trainers in the sport. She currently has horses placed with Tamie Smith of Next Level Eventing and Lane Clarke with Michey Hayden Showjumping.

Gerrit-Claes Bierenbroodspot

  • Born and based in the Netherlands, Gerrit-Claes Bierenbroodspot started his career as an three day event rider, he rode several international events and competed in the European Junior Championships.
  • He had his own riding school at 19 years old and focused more on teaching and training. 
  • At the age of 24 he was awarded the “Leo van de Kar” award for most promising young trainer in the Netherlands.
  • At the age of 24 he was National trainer of the Dutch three day event Junior Team and the Young Rider Team for 5 years.
  • At the age of 29 he stared to work for the Dutch Equestrian School for professionals. This is the Dutch government run equivalent of Warendorf in Germany and Flyinge in Sweden. He worked as an instructor for 16 years, where the last 6 years was as the head instructor. 
  • He then decided to work fulltime for his own company “HorseFind Holland”.
    Gerrit-Claes has trained in and all over the US on a regular basis since 1988 and helped hundreds of people from training level up to Grand Prix level. He also trains/ trained riders of all levels in Denmark, Belgium, England and China.
